* R.I.P. David "Honeyboy" Edwards, the last of the great Mississippi Delta bluesmen. Honeyboy appears as a character in Lil' Choo-Choo Johnson, Bluesman. Bryan was fortunate enough to see David "Honeyboy" Edwards perform live at the Memorial Union in Madison, Wisconsin.

* R.I.P. Pinetop Perkins, one of the last of the great original bluesmen, and the pianist for Muddy Waters' band. I'm glad I had the chance to see him perform at the Niagara Falls Blues Festival this past summer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYpZY31V74Y
* Bryan had a table to sell and sign Lil' Choo-Choo Johnson, Bluesman at the 3rd annual Niagara Falls Blues Festival on the weekend of September 11 and 12. It was a beautiful weekend highlighted by great weather, good BBQ, and incredible blues music including Chicago greats Pinetop Perkins, Hubert Sumlin, and Matt "Guitar" Murphy. The last two musicians appear as characters in Lil' Choo-Choo Johnson, Bluesman because of their connection to the great Howlin' Wolf.
