What’s Bryan Working on Now?
• Bryan’s most important project right now is his young daughter, who will turn two on Thanksgiving. He and Keri are also very excited about the upcoming addition to the family of baby #2.
• Bryan is currently working on a novel, tentatively titled Brat Stand Blues. Based on the author’s time working at the student Union at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, it chronicles a summer day on the Union Terrace for its protagonist, who serves brats (as in bratwurst) and beer, works and plays with the wild bunch of Union employees, and ponders his past, present, and future. * Bryan is working on a project close to his heart, a series of essays on life lessons from 1980s movies. • Bryan has completed his second manuscript, tentatively titled The American Dream: A Comedy About Death, Brotherhood, and a Pet Monkey. As its title suggests, it is a comedy, and involves two brothers. The younger brother is trying to fulfill his dying older brother’s ambitious bucket list. A unique pet monkey, the Chicago Cubs, blues music, mob movies, and the Great Wall of China interact in this outrageous comedic novel. The American Dream is currently being revised and edited.
